For those who have enjoyed reading the Da Vinci Code or Holy Blood Holy Grail, you may be interested in visiting Rennes le Château, 40 minutes drive into the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains. Here stood the house of the priest Bérenger Saunière who supposedly discovered the original blood line behind the Holy Grail. For a nominal fee, you can visit the house and the little chapel where the ‘treasure’ was found. There is a pretty gardern with a breath-taking view of the valley below.
